What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy can be defined as the art and science of using naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of body, mind, and spirit. Essential oils, also known as herbal & floral essences, are blended together or used individually to support and promote this healing process.
It seeks to unify physiological, psychological, and spiritual processes to enhance an individual’s innate healing process.
An aromatherapist utilizes essential oils to enable the body’s natural healing process.

Clinical aromatherapy is an alternative therapy that can assist in an inpatient or outpatient setting to manage symptoms in the areas of pain management, nausea support, improving general well-being, easing anxiety & depression, managing stress, and insomnia using topical and inhalation techniques.
It is offered as an alternative therapy alongside standard conventional treatments.
