As a Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional, I am professionally trained in the properties of application, safety, and contraindications of essential oils in the clinical aromatherapy field.
My Clinical Aromatherapy Certification from Essentria Aromatherapy School required me to study and educate myself to professional standards for the public which I serve.
What is a CAHP?
I am a Professional Member of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists (CFA). Certification by the CFA organization allows a professional aromatherapist to utilize the designation CAHP® – Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional. This certification requires a minimum standard education of 450 hours, plus a completed exam in anatomy, physiology, essential oils, and aromatherapy practice.
I am also a Level 2 NAHA (National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy) Certified Professional Aromatherapist which is a non-profit association devoted to the holistic integration and education of aromatherapy into a wide range of complementary healthcare practices including self-care and home pharmacy.
NAHA is actively involved with promoting and elevating academic standards in aromatherapy education and practice standards for the profession. NAHA is also devoted to increasing the public's knowledge and understanding of aromatherapy and its safe and effective application in everyday life.
